What I do share are common struggles, studies, and inspiration for living for Christ to your fullest. The giving, saving, and management aspects of financing God’s way. Sustainable physical fitness that produces a lifetime of activity and positive body image. Healthy eating habits and ingredients short on the gimmicks and fake food diet fads. Positive ways to love the life you’ve been given.
What I am here to offer are long term solutions. Ones that take work and dedication but result in life long changes.
A Snippet of My Life
I am a young “ish” woman born and raised in north Alabama who moved to central Florida following work and the sunshine this state is famous for. My dream of retiring to the beach is now that much closer!
I cannot start my day off without a cup of hot tea, or two if I’m being honest. Pretty sure I’m in a life long committed relationship there.
I love to encourage and educate myself and others in all aspects of health, be it physical, mental, emotional, social, or spiritual. Our health impacts every aspect of our life and is of vital importance if we are to live to our fullest potential.
Something that saddens me is that so many today overlook the spiritual aspect of health. It is the most important! It is the one aspect that transcends the life we live now to the one to come. A hardcore Christian, you can discover more of my story by reading My Testimony.
Since as long as I can remember I have loved being active. Whither it be long hikes through the woods, swimming, zoning out to music on a treadmill, yoga, horseback riding, or repelling I have enjoyed each in its season. But, with the exception of horseback riding leading to my career, I never really dedicated myself to any one physical activity long term.
Which led me to my next big decision …
Going on two years ago I decided to step WAY out of my comfort zone and start taking classes in something I had always loved, but never dared to do. Martial Arts. I signed up for classes 5 days a week (figured if I was going to do it I should get the full experience) taking both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and a Taekwondo class with a self defense emphasis. I WAS HOOKED! Especially with the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I got bit by that bug HARD. Scheduling changes recently resulted in me dropping the Teakwondo and changing over one night to kickboxing (which is awesome as well).
Now I was in pretty good shape by most standards going in. Or so I thought. Man did those classes WHOOP me into shape! I am now in the best shape of my life, by far, and I literally look forward to class EVERY SINGLE NIGHT and miss it sooo much if I have to skip.
I had found what I began to call, and eventually share with you, my Fun Fitness.
So That’s My Story … Whats Next?
Lets work together to create healthy spirits that are resilient to the trials and tribulations we all face day to day. Lets strive to be strong in body so we have the energy necessary to meet and exceed the demands placed on us. Lets educate ourselves on how to not just “break even” but put our finances in the order God intended so He can bless us. Lets focus on real foods and ingredients and take care of our bodies.
The life we have been given is both a gift and a journey. It won’t always be skipping through a field of daisy’s happy. But with the joy of the Lord to sustain us we shall not fail!
Lets enjoy this journey together. Join me as we explore new and old options for living a healthy lifestyle that you and God both love!
